UNDIP, Semarang (11/6) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) welcomed a delegation from Jiangsu Agri-Animal Husbandry Vocational College (JAAHVC), China, at the Rector’s Meeting Room, Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus, on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The visit served as an important opportunity to strengthen institutional relations and explore potential cooperation in education, research, and human resource development.
Before meeting with the university leadership, the JAAHVC delegation visited several UNDIP faculties whose academic fields align closely with their areas of expertise, namely the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) and the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP). The visits provided an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the academic and research activities within these faculties and to open discussions on future collaborative initiatives.
During the meeting, both institutions introduced their profiles and achievements and discussed potential forms of collaboration. Key areas of interest included student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research projects, and international academic programs.
Vice President Jundong Liu led the JAAHVC delegation. It included faculty leaders representing modern animal husbandry, modern fisheries, biomedicine and veterinary pharmaceuticals, veterinary medicine and public health, and international cooperation and exchange.
Pulung Widhi Hari Hananto, S.H., M.H., LL.M., Deputy Director of Global Partnerships and Connectivity at UNDIP, welcomed the opportunity for collaboration. “UNDIP warmly welcomes the prospect of cooperation with Jiangsu Agri-Animal Husbandry Vocational College. We see numerous areas that can be developed jointly, ranging from student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research, and international academic programs to strengthening global networks that will benefit both institutions,” he stated.
Vice President Jundong Liu also expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to engage in discussions and learn more about UNDIP’s academic programs. He noted that visits to the faculties before meeting the university leadership provided valuable insights into the collaboration opportunities available between the two institutions.
“Through this visit, we have gained a deeper understanding of the educational programs, research activities, and facilities available at Universitas Diponegoro. The discussions with faculty members and university leaders have given us a clearer picture of the cooperation opportunities that can be developed in the future,” said Jundong Liu.
Meanwhile, drh. Dian Wahyu Harjanti, Ph.D., the Director of Innovation and Cooperation at UNDIP, emphasized the significant potential for collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in animal science, fisheries, animal health, and biotechnology, which are key strengths of both universities.
“Animal science, fisheries, animal health, and biotechnology are areas with tremendous potential for collaboration. We hope that the discussions held today will lead to concrete programs that provide mutual benefits in education, research, and innovation,” drh. Dian explained.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both institutions expressed their commitment to continuing the dialogue by developing more concrete collaborative programs. One of the initiatives discussed was drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to serve as a foundation for future academic and research partnerships. (Public Communication/UNDIP/Hng)
