UNDIP, Semarang (13/3) – The Board of Trustees (Majelis Wali Amanat/MWA) of Universitas Diponegoro held its inaugural meeting on March 12, 2026, with the agenda of electing the leadership of the Board of Trustees for the 2026–2031 period. A total of 17 members of the Board of Trustees attended the meeting, including 4 ex officio members, 4 professor representatives, 3 non-professor lecturer representatives, 3 community representatives, 1 alumni representative, 1 education staff representative, and 1 student representative.
The members of the Board of Trustees present were as follows:
Ex-officio Members
- The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, represented by Dr. M. Samsuri, S.Pd., M.T., IPU. (Secretary of the Directorate General of Science and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology)
- The Governor of Central Java, represented by Sumarno, S.E., M.M. (Regional Secretary of Central Java Province)
- The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro
- The Chair of the Academic Senate of Universitas Diponegoro

The meeting was held following the issuance of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Decree No. 65/M/KEP/2026 concerning the dismissal and appointment of members of the Board of Trustees of Diponegoro University for the 2026–2031 period.
During the meeting, the 17 members unanimously elected:
- Prof. Mohamad Nasir, M.Si., Akt., Ph.D., as Chair of the Board of Trustees (MWA)
- Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Indarjo, M.Phil., as Vice Chair of the MWA
- Dr. Untung Sujianto, S.Kp., M.Kes., as Secretary of the MWA for the 2026–2031 term.
The meeting also agreed to appoint Prof. Dr. Darsono, S.E., Akt., M.B.A., as Chair of the Audit Committee and Dr. Ir. Cahya Setya Utama, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., as Secretary of the Audit Committee for the 2026-2031 period.
On this occasion, Dr. M. Samsuri, S.Pd., M.T., IPU., Secretary of the Directorate General of Science and Technology, representing the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, emphasized the strategic role of the Board of Trustees in supporting Universitas Diponegoro to continue becoming a pioneer in the development of science and technology for national development.
Meanwhile, Prof. Mohamad Nasir, representing the newly appointed members of the Board of Trustees for the 2026–2031 period, stated:
“The Board of Trustees plays an important role in ensuring that university governance operates in an accountable and sustainable manner. We hope to contribute to strengthening UNDIP’s development direction, particularly in governance and strategic networking that support the university’s progress.”
Currently, UNDIP is entrusted as one of the higher education institutions contributing to national development, particularly in supporting food self-sufficiency. The university is expected to develop into a center of civilization supported by excellent academic human resources, as mandated by Law No. 12 of 2012 on Higher Education.
In the future, the Board of Trustees is expected to work more cohesively with the Academic Senate to support the Rector’s performance and enhance UNDIP’s reputation at both the national and international levels. (Public Communication/UNDIP)
